Joseph P. Dever
  

Joseph P. Dever is a partner in the firm. Mr. Dever concentrates his practice in general litigation, including complex business disputes and other civil litigation, district court and superior court criminal litigation, as well as probate court and land court disputes.  Mr. Dever has also represented start-up companies as well as their principals and investors in negotiating stock purchase and sale agreements, commercial real estate leases, contracts and other business agreements.  Mr. Dever also represents individuals and companies before various state and Federal administrative agencies.

Mr. Dever serves as an Adjunct Coordinator for the Northeast Region in the Office of the Election Supervisor for the International Brotherhood of Teamsters.  He is also certified pursuant to Rule 8 of the Uniform Rules of Dispute Resolution as Court appointed conciliator and serves in the Essex County Bar Association Superior Court Conciliation Program.

Mr. Dever is a member of the Essex County and Greater Lynn Bar Associations and is a past president of the Essex County Bar Association.

Mr. Dever is admitted to practice law in all Massachusetts state courts as well as the Federal District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the First Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.  Mr. Dever is a graduate of Suffolk University Law School (cum laude) and Bates College.
